Instruction and criteria of judges

TEAM TEST: 4 DIFFERENT MANDATORY COMPETITIONS
- – 1 COMPETITOR: PREPARATION AND FORM APLICATTION

- – 3 COMPETITOR: FILING AND REFINEMENT
- – 4 COMPETITOR : NAILART AND FINISHING
ATTENTION! EACH COMPETITOR CAN ONLY MAKE THE PART OF THE COMPETITION THAT CORRESPONS HIM/ HER . IT IS TOTALLY PROHIBITED TO MODIFY THE PROCEDURE CORRESPONDING TO EACH COMPETITOR.
- This is a mandatory strict square nail structure competition (square). The nail extension must be 2 centimeters (measure from the bottom of the nail from the hyponichium) edge / underside of the free edge.
- The nails will be sculpted in gel, acrygel / polygel or acrylic. Any type of gels or acrylics can be used.
- All colors or glitter are alowed in the structure and for
- The nails must be fine (1.5 mm maximum in the center of the free edge. The structure must be well profiled inside (concave) and outside (convex) and the tip of the free edge, it must have a symmetrical and concentric shape (C in C) in its structure.
- The free edge shape is extremely square.
- The competitor must sculpt the nails with FORMS.. No tips are allowed and no dual system should be used.
- The forms must be prepared, cut and doubled only at the time of departure from the test. It is therefore forbidden to have it done in advance.
- Nails should be shiny with a Sealer or a coat of Gel Finish.
- Cuticle oil is allowed. There should not be an excessive amount of oil flowing from the finger or there will be a deduction of points for the underside.
- Al ldust must be well removed.Soap and water can be used to Compressed air can also be used.
- No glue, is not alowed in this sculpted competition. (possibility the loss of points if it is present on the table in the moment of the briefing)
- Electric files are alowed, but competitors must provide their own machine, its electric cords and its adapters. Electric file oil and all types of bits are alowed.
- Pinch tools, C curve stick and all the types of tools used to create an appropriate structure are alowed.
- The points are earned by the correctly following from the technical criteria.
- NAIL ART: Competitors can use the following nail art supports: All gel products, all acrylic products, all types of acrylic or watercolor paint (micro art). Nail art embellishments such as rhinestones, pearls, ingots, leaves and holograms, foils can be used. Chrome and pearl powder, any nail art for nail effect.
- No stickers of any kind are alowed. Stamping is alowed.
- The nail art of this competition will be judged as a “SALON TREND”. The judges expect to see works of art that you would see in the Salon that practices with customers, beware extreme works are not prohibited but may have a deductions of points if they are considered too extreme for a salon work..
- Nail art must have a current design and trend.
- All general rules apply to this competition.
- The total of possible points is the same for all divisions- 145
- The bonus of points award will be 15 points for the first team that finishes, then 10 points for the second, as well as 5 points for the 3rd team. The following teams will not have a point bonus.
Criteria
Instruction of judges for categories of nail structure 10 points in total on all categories.
- 2 points can be earned for each nail.
- Each nail is judged on its own merit..
- The nail must meet all the criteria for the category to earn its points.
Convex
- The convex must be completely
- The surface of the nail should not have any inconsistencies or appear to be uneven on the outer surface.
- The judge will examine the nail by looking at the nail head on and check zone 3 and from the back side perspective check zone 2.
- The convex surface or the surface of the nail must profile symmetrically throughout the entire nail until it reaches zone1.
- The nail can earn 1 point for each correct zone.
Concave
- The inner outline or the free edge tunnel must be completely symmetrical and concentric.
- The free edge of the nail must have the appearance of the interior of a tunnel from the start of the C curve to the distal edge of the finger which is apparent to the eye or until the C Stick the fingertips from the undersite..
- The concave must represent symmetry and be concentric. The nail can earn 1 point for beeing correct.
- The nail will win 1 point if the concave is concentric where the free edge begins. The form (Chablon) is applied completely and correctly following the distal edge of the nail.
- The nail will win 1 point if the concave is symmetrical throughout the free edge. There should not be any inconsistencies in the formation of the “tunnel” on the
Arch and apex
- The highest point (apex) of the apex should not appear to apparent and be located between zone 1 and zone 2 (modern apex).
- The entire arc, including the apex, should not be too visible or appear too flat.
- The apex should not be located too far forward or backwards when you look at the whole nail from the point of view of the profile.
- The nail can earn 1 point for each of these two required criteria.
Form Fit / Positioning of the form
- The nail extension must be free of notches or gaps on the lateral side folds where the free edge extension begins.
- The notches are created during the application process of the Form and cannot be created with a file.
- The nail can earn 1 point for each side of the nail that doesn’t have a notch.
Thickness of the free edges / Free Edge Thickness
- The nail must always be thin on the whole edge of the nails and measure the same on the side walls and the center to win 1 point.
- The free edge should not be thicker than 1.5 mm stack at the midel of the free edge.
- The nail can earn 1 point for each of these two required criteria.
SIDEWALLS
- The free edge must extend straight aut from the latera lfolds.
- The nail should not flare out or taper when you look at your hand from the front perspective.
- The nail must be uniform on each side.
- There should be any ridges on the free edge extension.
- The sides of the free edges must be smooth and clean.
- There are 1 point earn for each side of each nail.
Lateral extension / lateral side extension
- To find the lateral extension, you must look at the extension from the nails profile.
- The free edge must extend straight out from the natural nails lateral folds.
- The nail should not drop down or appear to be tapered upward from the profile perspective.
Instruction and criteria of judges
- The nail must to have symmetry so that the lateral extensions are consistently localed.
- There should be no exposure of the natural nai’s lateral fold.
- There are 1 point earn for each side of each scored nail.
Surface & shine / High Shine
- The nail must be completely smooth on the surface to earn
- The finish gel or Sealer must completely cured having a high shine to earn
Cuticle area
- The cuticle and the surrounding skin on the nail folds should not have new and visible cuts or irritation around the entire nail whole to earn 1point.
- There should not be any apparent ledge of product that can be felt or seen near the proximal folds to earn 1/2point.
- The application of the product must be apparent and cover the entire area of the cuticle near the proximal fold without leaving a significant margin between the line of the cuticle near the proximalfold.
- The product should not be too thick and must be apparent to earn 1/2point.
Undersite
- There should not be visible dust, debris, water or excessive oil at the back of the nail.
- The nail will earn 1 point for the nail to have a clean appearance.
- The application of the product must appear smooth behind the nail without excess of product to earn 1 point for each nail.
NAILART “Judgment criteria”
The maximum points awarded for each of the 3 criteria in this competition is as follows: 30 points
- Level of difficulty- 10 points.
- Creativity in nail art- 10 points.
- Total impression- 10 points.
