Rules, Judges Instruction & Criteria

1.Competitors must polish one hand of the model with a red cream polish only – NO base coat, ridge filler or topcoat may be used. The polish may be any brand, as long as it is a red cream polish. No frost or shimmers allowed in the polish.

2.These are traditional competitions with French style pink & white acrylic nails to be created. Transparent pink, clear and white acrylic products are allowed. These are NOT salon style nails. The nails are expected to be thin and have a c-curve in the structure. Smile lines are to be created.

3.Time allowed is 2 1/2 hours (150 minutes)

4.The competitor must use acrylic and sculpt the nails with forms. No tips allowed

5.No gel sealers on any kind are allowed onto the acrylic nails.

6.No topcoats on the exposed Pink and white acrylic application is allowed to create shine.

7.Cuticle oil is allowed.

8.Water and soap may be used in finishing.

9.Competitors can pre-size or cut the forms prior to the start of the competition. Doubling of forms is allowed as long as they are cut in any manner and are attached on the paper. Metal supports are allowed.

10.No glue is allowed in the Acrylic sculptured competition.

11.Electric files are allowed, but competitor must supply their own machine, electrical cords and adaptors.

12.Electric file oil and all types of buffing creams are allowed.

13.Chamois style buffers are allowed both by hand or machine.

14.Pinching tools, c-curve stick and all types of tools used to create a proper structure are allowed

15.Division I: one hand may be applied with the competitors choice of Clear or Pink acrylic (red polish must be applied on this hand), the other hand must be applied with Pink and White acrylic.

16.Divisions 2 & 3: the competitor must apply both hands with Pink and White acrylic only. One hand will be judged for the smile line application and the other hand must have red polish applied to cover the application.

17.No UV or LED lights are allowed on the table during the competition.

18.All general rules apply to this competition.

19.Total points for Division 1 is 150, Division 2 is 155 & Division 3 is 160.
